Living in 2005

You know you're living in 2005 when:

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You go home after a long day at work and you still answer the phone in a businesslike manner.
7. You make phone calls from home and you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line.
8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.
10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.
11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.
12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.
13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.
14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.
16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.
19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.
20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn't a #9 on this list.

保羅的榜樣

使徒行傳九章1至22節

昨天的經文讓我們知道保羅在信主前的光景，並他信主後的徹底改變。有些讀者或許想知道，在他信主之後的那一刻，有甚麼事情發生在他身上。有些人說：「我不相信人會突然改變。」難道真的不可能嗎？

保羅在哥林多後書五章17節的那句話，最能描述這種完全的改變：「若有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已改，都變成新的了」。保羅在信主之後，便立即有明顯的改變。當他還在大馬色的路上，他便立即問主說：「主啊，你要我做甚麼？」他即時便想知道主的心意──由那刻開始，這種渴望知道神心意的心，便一直成為他的人生鑰匙。

神對亞拿尼亞說，保羅正在禱告(九11)，因此，我們得知保羅很快便開始向神禱告。接著，他被聖靈充滿(九17)，再接受洗禮(18節)，成為信徒。我們是否也有這三個新生命的標記呢？
接著，他便與大馬色的信徒相交(九19)。這是非常重要的一步；可惜有些時候，我們忽略告訴初信者，與其他信徒相交對靈命成長的重要性。新約從沒教導信徒可以各自修行。所有信徒都應立即參與敬拜和相交生活。

第20節指出他「就在會堂裡宣傳耶穌」，結果，他的靈命便不斷成長(22節)，他對基督的認識亦愈發加深。他在信主後的連串行動，實在非常值得我們去借鏡。我們有否像他一樣呢？我們有否教導其他初信者要學習保羅的榜樣呢？

保羅為我們樹立了美好的榜樣。我們有否成為別人的榜樣呢？別人在我們身上看見耶穌嗎？我們有否與其他信徒切實相交？我們有否禱告？有否為主作見證？有否不斷成長？讓我們再三反省，並切實地行出來。
